Binh Duong is not a big destination for tourism in Vietnam. The province is better known as an industrial economic zone. Rural tourism, farm stay, taking a bike ride are some potential travel activities.

Binh Duong is located in the south of Viet Nam. It is surrounded by Binh Phuoc to the north, Tay Ninh to the west, Dong Nai to the east, and Ho Chi Minh City to the south. The provincial capital is Thu Dau Mot. Other administrative divisions include Di An, Thuan An, Tan Uyen, Ben Cat, Bau Bang, Bac Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng, Phu Giao. Thu Dau Mot City is 30km from Ho Chi Minh City, 1,740km from Ha Noi, 129km from Tay Ninh and 40km from Dong Nai. National Roads 13 and 14 go through the province.



Binh Duong has bazan that is convenient for rubber and coffee trees; alluvial deposits region with many paddy and fruit gardens.The network of rivers and canals are complete with Dong Nai, Sai Gon, Be rivers...

Originally, the area now known as Bình Dương was heavily forested, and was dominated by peoples of the Xtiêng, Cho Ro, Mnong, and Khmer Krom ethnic groups. In the 17th century, however, ethnic Vietnamese settlers arrived in the region from the east. Most were peasants, seeking to escape poverty by gaining land of their own. There were also a number of refugees from a war between two feudal houses. In 1698, there were enough people in the area that a prominent Vietnamese general was sent to establish official institutions and enforce law. From that point, Bình Dương developed rapidly, with extensive clearance of forests to make room for crops. The province is now dominated by ethnic Vietnamese.

There are two seasons: the dry season lasts from November to April next year, the rainy one lasts from May to October. The average annual temperature is 270C.

Binh Duong things to see

Thu Dau Mot City has 300 year old history. It is on Saigon River bench and it belongs to important economic zone in the south: Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai - Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The province preserves famous traditional handicrafts such as pottery, lacquer, sculpture.

Binh Duong is located on northern gateway of Saigon and it used to have many long and fierce fightings in anti-American and French resistances.

And tourists can visit Lai Thieu Fruit Garden, which is well-known for durian, mangosteen, rambutan, To Nu jack-fruit, then upto Thu Dau Mot City and Dau Tieng Lake.

Besides that, Lady Thien Hau Pagoda, Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda, Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquerware Painting Village, and Cau Ngang Tourist Area attracts many visitors every year.

Dai Nam Van Hien Tourist Complex


This is a complex of entertainment area, zoo, temples, mountain, river, hotel. With the total area of 450ha, the tourist complex is divided into 5 main areas including Dai Nam temple, amusement theme park, artificial sea, Dai Nam zoo, and race course. Besides, the tourist complex also has auxiliary items such as restaurants, hotel, etc. to serve visitors.

Ba Pagoda

Ba Pagoda, also called Thien Hau Cung, is a worshipping site and religious place for Chinese in Vietnam.

The pagoda was built on Huong Chu Hien Canal, in the middle of the 19th century. In 1880, an additional back house was built and in 1925 the pagoda was moved to its current location.

Several deities are worshipped inside the pagoda, including Lares, Mon Quan Saint Mother Thien Hau, Bon Dau Cong Couple (Chinese General) and also Ngu Hanh Nuong Nuong (Five Lady Saint of the five basic element of eastern philosophy): Saint Kim (Metal), Moc (Wood), Thuy (Water), Hoa (Fire), Tho (Earth).

Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village


Well-known nationwide for many centuries, Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village is the cradle of local lacquer industry.

In early 18th century, the people in traditional lacquer trade migrated to Thu Dau Mot City from the North, the Central and set up a village. After their life was rather stable, they made first lacquer paintings to commemorate homeland. Those lacquer paintings were known and bought by the richer in the village. There was more and more demand for this product and households gradually specialized in lacquer trade to set up Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village.

After many generations, the Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer still keeps traditional beauty. It's sophistication of Orient art. The Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer product has better quality and more multiform design than other ones. According to some experts, the Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer product can bear frigid climate of Europe, not be cracked, peeled off or deformed.
